Dr Arun Peel is an ocultist scholar known for his writings on the secret histories and for being the author of The Flayed Tantra. Peel was at some point a member of the dynastical Great Hooded Princes before abandoning his lineage and choosing to follow the Thunderskin.[1] This angered his previous brethren, and Peel used a Germinate Invocation (an invocation of the Twins)[2] to fend them off.[3] This was when Peel wrote The Flayed Tantra with the blood from flaying himself.[1] Despite this drastic change of heart (and skin) Peel retains some of his Knock related powers, such as being able to spit poison.[4]
During the 1800s Peel was a member of the Committe of Hush House, giving lectures on occult topics.[5] One of his most renowned lectures was on the topic of the Great Writhing,[5] an event Peel wrote about in the Third History.[6]
"Arun" is a name of the author of The Victory of Crowns, but it's unknown whether it's Peel or not.[7] He himself doesn't recall writing it, but speculates he may have done so in a different History.[8]
