'Without the Walls'
The House of the Moon is a mysterious mirror realm to the House of the Sun. Little is known about how it came to be, or what its purpose really is. It appears to be governed by the Meniscate, who once was a Name of the Sun-in-Splendour and served as his "night-self".
Perhaps the most curious piece of information regarding the House of the Moon is that the Wheel, one of the old gods-from-stone destroyed in the Lithomachy, is said to still turn, and some claim that the Wheel shall return someday. What this could mean for the Mansus is still to be revealed.[1][2]
The Summit Gate[]
'Three'
The only known way of entering the House of the Moon is with the use of the Key of David when housed in Black Sapphire to open the Summit Gate. The Key is held by Morgen the Ligeian, though it has been known to flee her many times.[3]
The Summit Gate can be seen opening in Cultist Simulator only twice. Pursuing the Change Ascension of the Dancer Legacy with a balance between the aspects of Moth and Heart, "change and eternity", the player may gain the favor of the Meniscate herself, who will grant passage through the Summit Gate—not as a Long, but as a reflection, with the promise to return when the Sun-in-Splendour is reborn.[1][4]
The other example presented is in the Exile Legacy, where the player may encounter Morgen. In the process of offering her pentiments for the Nameless Name, Morgen will recognize the Exile as "blood of the earth", the line of the Wheel and the Flint, and grant them passage into the House of the Moon.[2]
Other Notes[]
- In addition to the Meniscate, who governs the House of the Moon, and the Wheel who turns within, there are a few other Hours that may have a connection to the hidden realm:
