Raveline

Chateu Raveline, the seat of the Ravelines

The Raveline family is a noble family originally from France.[1] By 1936, the family had deserted their lands.[2] They are known for their wine, Domaine Raveline.[2] They seem to be cursed, suffering from "la malaise Raveline" (lit. the Raveline sickness).[3] The exact nature of the curse is unkown, but it seems to turn the cursed into werewolf-like creatures.[4]

Known Members[]

  • Mrs Kille: A midwife living in Brancrug.[1]

  3. slnev.visiting.killes.dagmar Dagmar greets Mrs Kille as 'Mlle Raveline', corrects herself, thumps her on the shoulder, asks about various French relatives of Mrs Kille's that Mrs Kille hasn't seen in years, enthuses about various other French relatives of Mrs Kille's that Mrs Kille hasn't seen in years, and eventually asks if she's had any trouble with  <i>'la malaise raveline'</i>. Mrs Kille answers politely that she has not... but that she has chosen not to have children, just in case. Across the table, Mr Kille catches her eye with the familiarity of long marriage and reaches for her hand.

Serena proposes connections both to Ys and to families like the Ravelines who labour under a beast-curse. She cuts Fraser's response off impatiently: 'Not everything has to be about the Carapace Cross, you know.
